Prayer request

Jesus said “Ask and it will be given to you: seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks, receives; the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

As hermits we devote our entire life in prayer to God.  We are happy to pray for you, a loved one or for a special intention you may have.

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” – Matthew 21:22

Mass request

The Church considers the Mass the greatest possible prayer of intercession because it is the perfect offering of Christ to the Father by making present the Paschal Mystery of His death and resurrection.

It is a longstanding tradition in the Church that a Priest may be requested to offer a Mass for a specific intention, even when one cannot be physically present at the Mass. All of our Masses are said in our beautiful chapel which stands at the heart of the Bethlehem Hermitage.

Candle Lighting

You may request that an eight (8) day candle be lit for your special intentions. In our chapel at the Bethlehem Hermitage in Chester, NJ, candles burn as an outward sign of our faith as we bring our petitions in faith before our Lord. You can also choose to remember someone special today by asking for a candle to be lit in their memory.
